Curup mangkok adalah salah satu air terjun yang berada di kaki gunung dempo pagar alam sumatera selatan, air terjun ini mengalir dari bebatuan yang besar dan dikanan kirinya terdapat pepohonan. Jalan menuju kesana mendaki gunung, tetapi mendekati tempat tersebut telah dibuat jalan yang curam, namun dapat dilalui mobil sampai ke pinggir telaga dari air terjun tersebut. Air terjun ini cukup dingin serasa kita berendam di air kulkas. 

Walaupun airnya yang begitu dingin, namun tetap para pengunjung terkadang mandi di curup ini. Disini kita bisa bersantai bersama keluarga ataupun pasangan kita. Karena disini sudah tersedia gazebo untuk peristirahatan. Disekitar telaga ada bebatuan koral yang berwarna-warni. Saat kita memandang sumber air terjun ada celah sinar yang terbentuk dari pohon-pohon yang ditengahnya air terjun.Jalan menuju lokasi sudah bagus dan besar dengan dua jalur.Sehingga diakhir pekan ataupun hari-hari libur tempat ini selalu ramai dikunjungi. Didekat itu ada air terjun lain yang lebih besar yaitu air terjun curup embun, dinamakan curup embun karena dingin dan banyak embun akibat air yang jatuh ditiup angin dan menimpa bebatuan. Sedangkan cughup Mangkok yang terletak di Dusun Pematangbango, memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Selain pemandangan di sekitarnya sangat asri dan alami, cughup ini meninggalkan ceruk atau kolam yang berbentuk mangkok. Hal inilah yang mendasari Curup ini dinamakan Curup Mangkok.
