Pagaralam Pos, Pagaralam – Satu lagi keindahan alam mempesona, khususnya temuan baru air terjun di Kota Pagaralam yang belum terjamah tangan manusia. Bila dilihat sekilas dari karakteristik air terjun ini, pastinya akan berdecak kagum dan membuat mata tak berkedip memandangnya.
Pasalnya, dengan bebatuan gunung yang menjadi tumpahan air dari bebukitan ditambah bentuk air terjun dan keasrian diantara rimbunan hutan, mirip seperti air terjun Niagara, di belahan Amerika Serikat. Warga sekitar menamakannya Cuhgup Ayek Nyembor. Sebutan lainnya “Niagara Kecil” di kaki Bukit Barisan. Menuju Dusun Talang Kubangan, Kelurahan Kance Diwe, Kecamatan Dempo Selatan, berjarak sekitar 45 menit perjalanan dari pusat Kota Pagaralam. Dari dusun ini, memerlukan waktu sekitar 2 jam untuk menjangkau lokasi Cughup Ayek Nyembor. Menerobos hutan, menapaki jalan tanah yang curam dan cukup terjal, gemuruh suara siamang (orang hutan), menyambut Tim Ekspedisi ke lokasi air terjun.  Pantauan Pagaralam Pos, tak salah masyarakat setempat menyebutnya Cughup Ayek Nyembor. Tumpahan air jernih nan dingin menusuk tulang dari ketinggian lebih kurang 50 meter dari bebukitan menghempas bebatuan cadas yang tersusun rapi. Tak hanya itu, beberapa titik air terjun bertingkat 4 memberikan keindahan tersendiri. “Sayangnya, air terjun ini belum diketahui orang banyak dan belum dilengkapi berbagai fasilitas. Bila sudah banyak yang tahu, saya yakin masyarakat pasti akan datang kesini (Cughup Ayek Nyembor),” ujar Haidir Ketua RT Talang Kubangan didampingi Juli (32), yang turut mendampingi Tim Ekspedisi.
Menurutnya, awal mula ditemukannya Cughup Ayek Nyembor ini, ketika 1960-an, warga sekitar membuka hutan rimba di daerah yang menjadi perkebunan kopi. Namun, hanya segelintir warga yang sampai ke lokasi ini.

Mengingat keberadaan Cughup Ayek Nyembor sangat potensial untuk dijadikan objek wisata alam, maka warga setempat kata Khaidir sangat berharap agar kiranya Pemerintah Kota Pagaralam dapat membangun dan mengelolanya sehingga kedepan keberadaan sumber daya alam tersebut selain dapat menambah khasana wisata alam di Kota Pagaralam juga dapat menambah pendapatan warga setempat. “Kami sangat berharap pemerintah dalam hal ini Dinas Pariwisata dan mengelola Air terjun ini sebagai objek wisata, karena saya yakin jika dikelola dengan baik dapat mendatangkan pengunjung yang banyak,” ucapnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Pagaralam Drs H Syafrudin MSi mengatakan, pihaknya belum mengetahui mengenai keberadaan air terjun tersebut. Untuk itu, guna kepetingan pengembangan, dalam waktu dekat ini pihaknya akan segera melakukan pendataan dan akan dijadikan salah satu tujuan wisata di Kota Pagaralam. “Memang di Pagaralam ini terdapat puluhan air terjun yang memiliki karakter yang berbeda dan Cughup Ayek Nyembor ini tentunya akan menambah jumlah air terjun di Kota Pagaralam. Kedepan, kita akan segera melakukan pendataan dan mengupayakan untuk melakukan pembangunan,” janjinya. (04/01)
